We are excited to announce that Auswide Bank is now a subscriber to the Banking Code of Practice. The Banking Code of Practice sets clear standards for how banks should treat customers. By subscribing to the Code, we formally commit to meeting these standards across our products, services, and the way we engage with our customers.

“Although we already hold ourselves to high standards, this is about continuously improving and making things even better for our customers. Becoming a Banking Code subscriber strengthens our processes and protections, supporting fair, transparent, and responsible banking, said Damian Hearne, Auswide Bank General Manager.”

What this means for our customers

In practical terms, becoming a Banking Code of Practice subscriber means:

  • clear and transparent information about our products, fees, and terms
  • fair and respectful treatment at every stage of the customer journey
  • responsible lending practices that consider customers’ financial circumstances
  • stronger support for vulnerable customers, including those experiencing financial hardship
  • Clear pathways for raising concerns or complaints, with fair and timely resolution.

Our commitment to doing the right thing

Subscribing to the Banking Code of Practice reflects our ongoing focus on building trust and long-term relationships with our customers.

We believe this is a positive step forward for our customers and an important part of delivering banking services that are fair, ethical, and put customers first.
