These callers may claim there is suspicious activity on your account, ask for one-time passcodes (OTPs), passwords, or card details and pressure you to act urgently or move money. If you ever have any concerns about an incoming call or message you have received from someone claiming to be from Auswide Bank, hang up and contact us directly.
The easiest way to close your account is to send us a secure message in internet banking with details of the account(s) you would like to close. Alternatively, you can call our friendly Customer Care Team on 1300 138 831 or visit your local branch.
To ensure a seamless account closure process:
- Ensure your account balance is $0.00, and there are no pending transactions.
- Cancel any recurring payments and direct debits set up on the account.
- Make sure all direct debits, credits, cheques, and Visa authorisation transactions have cleared.
